Hamden Firefighters Local 2687 wishes to express our sincere condolences to the Bridgeport Fire Department on the loss of two brother firefighters who died while operating at a house fire on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Lieutenant Steven Velasquez and Firefighter Michel Baik perished while battling the blaze, which occurred on Elmwood Avenue.   Our thoughts and prayers are with their fellow firefighters, family, and friends. Your supreme sacrifice will never be forgotten.
