At approx. 1 pm on Thursday July 8th, L-2687 members of the 1st Platoon fought a rear-lot house fire on Nutmeg Hill Road. On arrival, Engine 5 found fire had already breached the roof, and the second floor was heavily involved.
Two firefighters were transported by ambulance with heat exhaustion and dehydration. [Update: Both Hamden Firefighters have been released from the hospital.]
The Fire Marshal is investigating cause and origin at this time.
