One of Local 2687’s own, Lieutenant Dave Wood, also happens to be the head brewer for BAR in New Haven. Lieutenant Wood wanted to brew a special beer to honor Worcester, Massachusetts firefighter Christopher Roy, who selflessly gave his life fighting a five alarm fire on Dec. 9th. “Last Alarm IPA” has been on tap for a week now and selling really well. The beer is full of resinous pine notes from its heavy doses of Simcoe hops and is sure to please. $1.00 from each beer sold will go to the Ava Roy Fund, a benefit established for his 9-year-old daughter.
Please consider visiting BAR to support this cause and enjoy drinking this beer!
(BAR is located at 254 Crown Street in New Haven, CT)
