From approximately 7:00PM on Thursday, July 26th, 2012:

Hamden Professional Firefighters Platoon #4 battles house fire:

245 Main Street for a structure fire.

A 2 story wood, heavy fire upon arrival of first due companies.

Fire on floors 1 and 2 extending to attic. 3 lines in operation. Primary searches neg.
E-2, 3, Sq 1, T-1 R-1, R-2, Cars 1,2,3,4,6,7

E-2 Crew made an aggressive interior attack and quick knockdown of heavy fire. Coordinated vertical ventilation by Tower 1 crew was made.

E-5 and E-9 relocated for coverage.

No firefighter or civilian injuries have been reported.

One household pet died in the fire.
