Newly appointed Deputy Chief Robert Surprise is sworn in today at the Hamden Government Center.  Today's promotional ceremony is the latest step for DC Surprise, who began his career with the Hamden FIre Department as a firefighter / paramedic.

Working through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief, DC Surprise is well respected for his experience as a firefighter and supervisor.  Office hours begin tomorrow...
